This week’s artist on the rise is Kelsea Nicole Ballerini an American Country, and Country Pop music singer and songwriter. Born September 12, 1993 in Mascot, Tennessee. She wrote her first song at the age of 12 for her mother. She attended Lipscomb University for two years until she pursued a musical career and at 19, she signed a deal with Black River Entertainment. she released her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It“, which debuted on Country Airplay in October 2014 and released a self-titled extended play for the label in November.
Later that year she was named as the next Women of Country by CMT, her first performance was in 2015 at the Grand Ole Opry she sang “Love Me Like You Mean It“. Her single reached number one on the US billboard Country airplay. She’s the first solo artist to make to number one since Carrie Underwood with her release “Jesus Take The Wheel “.
Although the Italian-America singer has just recently started this journey, she started with a bang. With her unbeatable drive and incredulous motivation, we can expect nothing but great things from her.
