This week’s artist on the rise is the Albanian – American singer songwriter Bebe Rexha. Bebe Rexha born August 30, 1989 in Debar, Macedonia and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. This 25-year-old musician is best known for her 2014 hit single “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You“. The pop, electro pop, and R&B singer is well known for being the lead vocalist of the American band Black Cards created by Pete Wentz. Also for co-writing the number-one Billboard Hot 100 hit “The Monster” by Eminem featuring Rihanna.
Throughout the years Bebe Rexha has written songs for artists such as: Eminem ft. Rihanna “The Monster“, Selena Gomez “Like A Champion“, Madonna “Some Girls“, Cash Cash “Take Me Home” and Shine “Lucifer” as well as Nicki Williams “Glowing“. The same year she wrote “Monster” with, Rexha release an original pop track on her Sound Cloud page, “Comeback Kids“, and is featured with Roseland, New Jersey-based EDM group Cash Cash on their single “Take Me Home“, which peaked at number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100. Cash Cash and Bebe also recorded an acoustic version of “Take Me Home” along with a video that was released on February 25, 2014 through Big Beat Records.
Rexha is working on her debut album, and has already entered the studio with producers such as David Guetta, Fraser T Smith and Frequency, among others. On March 21, 2014, Bebe released her first single from her debut album, “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You“, via Warner Bros. Records. This artist has had an incredible journey thus far and it will only improve through the years.
