Art Triumphs Where Memory Fails One night when I was walking down the Champ Elysees I looked up at the Arc
de Triomphe. Witnessing various people and I suspect many tourists enjoying the sights of Paris standing under and around the arch.I thought deeply about the magnificent arch before me and that it represents. I wondered what sights and scenes will be forever embedded in their memory.

This thinking gave way to the great museums of Paris like the Centre
Pompidou, Louvre Museum and Musee d’Orsay probably representing the crème de la crème of the world¹s finest art.

So what does the arch and the museums have in common? They both represent the triumphs of man, one the sorrows and victories of
war, the other passions of the creative soul.You may in your travels bear witness to the works of man, both great and small. But as your memories fade, the works live on.
