After our brief stop in Ohrid, we continued our drive to Sarande:

It was our goal to follow the SH8, the road close to the coast. However, we faced two problems:
- Our GPS only covers the north of Albania, so after some time we had to rely on our map, road signs and our sense of orientation.
- There are not many road signs in (that part of) Albania.
So, somehow we ended up on the SH4. And as soon as we reached the mountains, the problems started. Well, actually there was only one big problem. In some places there is simply no road and you are basically driving on pebbles. Big pebbles.
Once we reached Gjirokastër, the road reappeared again and then we reached some higher mountains. We were relieved when we saw road signs again as well and after having driven around for more than 10 hours (!), we were in Sarande. It was Saturday evening though; there was a lot of traffic and people walking, drinking and dancing everywhere, so it took us another hour before we found our apartment!
