Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela yesterday issued a warrant for the arrest of social media activist Dr. Pathum Kerner over a case filed by Colombo Crimes Division.
The arrest warrant was issued because he had failed to appear in Court when the case was taken up for hearing yesterday.
Kerner has been accused of assembling people near the Polduwa Junction on July 13 to storm into parliament breaching the barricades set up for the security of the Parliament complex. He is out on bail with regard to the case.
The Colombo Additional Magistrate ordered for the case to be called up again on November 29.
