We will get to see Jennifer Hudson in the Aretha Franklin biopic next year on the big screen.
According to Deadline, MGM plan to release the biopic Respect starring Jennifer Hudson on August 14, 2020.
The biopic will follow the Queen of Soul’s life from her childhood days singing in her father’s church to mega stardom.
The pic is being directed by Liesl Tommy and scripted by Oscar winner Callie Khouri.
J-Hud was handpicked by the late Queen of Soul to play her in the biopic.
