After what felt like an endless array of teases, previews, and potential sneak peeks regarding their new album, Arcade Fire have finally unveiled title track “Reflektor” for all to hear (and see). Like its epic and cinematic video, “Reflektor” is a sprawling story that unfolds layer by dark, disco-inflected layer. Because the band spent so much time and energy building anticipation, “Reflektor” didn’t just have to meet expectations, but shatter them. Luckily, the track delivers on every level, and then some. Arcade Fire’s fourth ull-length LP, Reflektor, is out October 29.
