According to a recent report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will also announce new Macs along with its software products at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2023). Gurman also revealed in his newsletter Power On that WatchOS 10 will get the biggest update since the original update. One of the biggest highlights of the event could be the Mixed Reality headset that could be unveiled at WWDC.

New Macs will be launched

Apart from Apple’s iOS 17, many new products are expected to be announced at WWDC 2023. A new report has revealed that new Macs will also make an entry at the event. Gurman claims that Apple is planning to introduce its mixed-reality at the developer event. The new headset is said to be Apple’s first new product category in over a decade. The premium headset may be equipped with multiple lenses and sensors to deliver a mix of virtual and augmented reality.

Apple will also offer its first xrOS software update and a development kit. The headset will go on sale several months after it is introduced.

These hardware products will be launched at the event

The second hardware product to be launched at WWDC will be the new Mac. It is expected that the company will launch several new MacBooks at the event. Gurman claimed that a new 15-inch MacBook Air will also be introduced at the event along with updated versions of the existing 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro.

According to Gurman, the new Macbook will run on something similar to the existing M2 processor. For information, let us tell you that the 15-inch Macbook Air was spotted in the App Store developer log, which revealed that it has an 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and 8GB of RAM.

Apple is also expected to announce the first Mac Pro with M-series chips and the latest 24-inch iMac. The new Mac can be made available for sale later this year i.e. in early 2024. There are also plans for two Mac Studio follow-ups, but their timing is not yet known.

Furthermore, Gurman claimed that WatchOS 10, which powers the Apple Watch, will get its biggest update in a decade. Apple’s iPadOS 17 will lay the software foundation for the new OLED iPad Pro models to be launched next year.

Apple is likely to announce an unexpected update with iOS 17. The company will reportedly allow users to side-load apps, which means users can download apps outside the App Store.

This is being done to comply with new European regulations by next year. iOS 17 is expected to come with several user-requested features. There may also be some changes in the Control Center.
