Apple Overtakes Samsung to Become Number One in the Second Hand Market, This is the Market Share

Similarly, the company has now established its dominance in the global refurbished smartphone market through its second hand iPhones. This information has been obtained from a report by Counter Point Research.

Captured 49 percent market share

The report of the research firm said that the tech giant Apple captured 49 percent share of the second hand smartphone market last year. After this comes the name of Samsung, which holds 26 percent market share. In other words, Apple’s iPhone was preferred over the South Korean brand’s mobiles in the refurbished segment.

Demand for second hand iPhone increased

The report further stated that in the year 2022, the global refurbished smartphone market registered a growth of five percent. Along with this, an increase of 16 percent was also seen in the graph of Apple’s growth. At the same time, last year second hand iPhone became the most sought after smartphone.

The condition of Vivo and OPPO

apple and Samsung Apart from this, Vivo and OPPO had 3 percent market share in the second hand market. However, Huawei was the only smartphone brand to lose its market share during that period.

First Apple Store opened in India

For your information, let us tell you that Apple opened its first offline store in Mumbai city of India last week. The company’s CEO Tim Cook came to India for its opening. The store employs 100 employees, who are able to speak 20 different languages. Of these, 50 percent are women.

Before launching the store, the company had rolled out a new shopping feature for its customers. Its name is Shop with Specialist. Through this feature, customers can connect to the store through video calling, from where they can get information about any Apple product and buy it.

With this, customers will not have to go to the physical store to buy iPhone or any kind of accessories related to it. As of now, this feature has not been made available in India. It is expected to be released for Indian customers in the coming months.
