Apple Halwa | Indian Apple Pudding Recipe Preparation Time: 5 Minutes Cooking Time: 15 Minutes Servings: 2 Category: Sweets Cuisine: Fusion Cooking Method: Pan Fry
Ingredients
2 Red Apples, Peeled and Cored 1 Tbsp. Clarified Butter or Oil 1/4 Cup Sugar 1/4 Tsp. Cinnamon Powder 1/4 Tsp. Cardamom Powder Almonds, For Garnishing
Instructions
Wash and grate the apples in deep bowl. Heat the oil or ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add grated apples and cook them for 5-7 Minutes or till to soft. Add sugar, cardamom and cinnamon powder. Cook for 5 Minutes more or till to reduce water. Garnish with chopped nuts.
Notes: Serve with Vanilla Ice-cream as fusion dessert for non-vegans. Take a serving glass, add bottom layer of apple halwa, add icecream on the top of halwa, now garnish with nuts.
