Do you felt the touch screen is already suitable to be used by the iPhone? It is said that a physical QWERTY keyboard was never considered to use for first-generation iPhone. This was said by former Apple executives, Tony Fadell, who revealed on the consideration of using a physical keyboard when the iPhone was first developed in January 2007.
Tony says that Apple has developed a prototype and has three options, namely a hybrid of the iPod Phone, other iPhone design which until now has not revealed, and the final design of the iPhone that we already know. Steve Jobs was the one who ultimately decided to adopt a virtual keyboard, and rejected two other prototype designs. Their choice to give the iPhone with the touch screen seems to be one of the important decisions that brought Apple into place today.
