Yesterday in the iPhone 11 launch event, Apple unveiled much information about its upcoming subscription-based gaming service Apple Arcade. The gaming service will be launched in 150 countries on September 19.

For the whole family, the gaming service will cost $4.99 per month and will come with a one-month free trial. At the time of launch, Apple will include 100 titles and will be adding more afterward.

We first got to know about Apple Arcade in march at their ‘Show Time’ event. At that time they promised about games from studios like Annapurna Interactive, Cartoon Network, Finji, Klei Entertainment, Konami, Lego, SEGA, Snowman and more.

At yesterday’s event, Apple also showed a few demos of the exclusive games incoming like Shinsekai: Into The Depths from Capcom and Frogger in Toy Town from Konami. The last demo of the show was Sayonara Wild Hearts, published by Annapurna Interactive. Although this game is not exclusive to Apple Arcade as it is also launching on Nintendo Switch.

Every major company is trying to get a piece of the subscription-based gaming service now. Microsoft has their Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft has Uplay Plus, even Google is launching their standalone service Stadia in November. Now it is a matter of time to see who gets the upper hand.
