Antarctica to Ushuaia Via Cape Horn

Paradise Bay, Antarctica

I didn't just appear in Antarctica, I flew to Buenos Aires and took a Celebrity Cruise to Antarctica.  The cruise spent 3 full days in Antarctica, with the unpredictable weather, only 1 day was clear, but on this day, the views were worth the long trip down and the cruise fee.  There are lots of mountains, glaciers, snow, icebergs and penguins.  You have to see it to experience it, it's like nowhere else.  I have more photos on Instagram.

The Antarctica cruise departs from Buenos Aires, takes 6 days to get to Antarctica, and also calls at the Ushuaia, Falkland Islands, Puerto Madryn and Montevideo, Uruguay.

Cape Horn, Chile

The cruise ship passed Cape Horn, the southern tip of South America.  This is a very windy and cold place with the famous albatross-shaped Cape Horn Monument.  The monument is here to remember all those who have lost their lives whilst passing the cape.  Fortunately the cruise ship past without any problems.
