Review: Marvel you've done it again. Can we just stop now and give you all the awards?
I loved this movie. I went in not really knowing what to expect, I actually knew very little about the Ant-Man story before the release so I started doing my research. I love that they started this from second generation Ant-Man it held the original story and how it came to be modernized in our current world (or a fictionalized version of it).
Marvel told a good story, without taking itself too seriously, but also managing to keep the serious tone of the danger at hand. Not to make a direct comparison DC but, I think the problem with a lot of Superhero movies of the past (or present Man of Steel) is that we either make them too campy and cheesy that we can't really enjoy the story, or we make them too serious and we lose the fun and fantasy.
Marvel has finally found the perfect equation and balance with it's recent string of films, really finding its ground with Avengers.
In Ant-Man we ahve a down on his luck, witty, funny, if not a bit dumb at times, engineering genius, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). It's refreshing to see a character built from his place.
He just got out of jail, he's not a bad guy, but an average guy who made some bad choices and doesn't know how to get himself out of this place. I think he's probably one of the more relatable Superheros we've seen. He's not a God like Thor, or a way too good Super Soldier like Cap, he's not a Billionaire like Iron Man or a science experiment gone wrong like Hulk ....he's just...Scott.

The movie continues nicely keeping you in the dark as you are unsure who is the good guy, who is the bad guys, and continue to question which side everyone is on. You even get a sneak peek of life on The Avengers new base as Scott takes on Falcon (my personal fav) in a hilarious but amazing fight scene.
Great movie, and I cannot wait for the second one and to see Scott in Civil War.

Favorite Quotes:
Scott Lang: I think we should call the Avengers.

Scott Lang: Wait I didn't steal anything! I was returning something I stole!
Yellowjacket: I am going to disintegrate you!
Siri: Playing Disintegration by The Cure.
Recommendation: A must for all Marvel fans but even if you haven't been following I think this film has a little bit of something for everyone.
