Answering Your Questions, Part 2: What Colors Work With Gray?

By Southshoredecoratingblog

Thank you so much for the positive response on the first post I did in this series (here). I received WAY more questions than I thought I would. I probably won't be able to answer them all, but keep them coming and I'll do my best. My email address is always accessible in the sidebar, or if you receive posts by email, you can just hit "reply" to any emailed post.
The question I chose for today, from Lady Dy, is "What colors work best with gray?"
Answer:  Just about everything. It's why I love gray so much - I can't think of any colors off the top of my head that wouldn't work with it, since it is almost like black, a real neutral.
Here are my favorite colors to use with gray:
1. Teal

This also shows how well orange and green go, too

2. Turquoise   Similar to teal of course, but because one of my greatest pet peeves is when people call teal turquoise and vice versa, I thought I'd better treat them as the two separate colors that they are:

3. Emerald Green or Lime Green:

4. Coral/Orange/Peach

5. Hot Pink or Purple  Some people like light pink with gray, but it's not for me. Technically it goes, but I don't love it, so I'm not showing it. The same with yellow - it goes great with gray, but I'm sick to death of it, so I'm not showing it!

6.  Neutrals: Beige/White/Black/Other grays  Gray is a neutral and can be used with other neutrals, without any pop of color:

I hope you guys enjoyed this, and keep the questions coming!!
