Another Side to England

Beyond the clichés of rainy weather, fish and chips, the Big Ben, double-deckers and others, there is much more to the English country.  After all, the UK is an island, which implies ports beaches and coasts.  Recently, I visited the southern coast of England, and I have to say that I was positively surprised. Portsmouth, a small yet very lively city welcomes you with its Spinnaker Tower, a beautiful structure located at Gunwharf Quays, next to the marina.  Taking the elevator to the top of the tower gives you a view to the English Channel and the Isle Of Wight.  Gunwharf itself is a large commercial center with stores restaurants and other forms of entertainment.  The other city I visited is well known Brighton.  A windy yet very inviting town.  I have to admit that I was lucky to get a few days of sun, which allowed me to get the best of it.  One of Brighton's most popular attractions is the Pier, which is an amusement park built on the sea.  Imagine riding a roller coaster whose structure is founded at the bottom of the sea, scary enough?
