Once Anna Paquin’s Rogue, a critical character in Bryan Singer’s first two X-Men films was left on the cutting room floor because of time constraints, we figured those scenes would surface, but we never thought we’d get a whole new cut of the movie as part of the deal. But that’s exactly what’s happening with the “Rogue Cut” ofX-Men: Days of Future Past.
Not only will the “Rogue Cut” restore Anna Paquin’s scenes to the movie, its special features will be different from the current Blu-ray/DVD release of the film. It’s got seventeen minutes of footage put back into the movie. We’ll be able to see it on July 14th.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is arguably the highlight of the franchise, and one of the best superhero films of recent years. If nothing else, it should help feed X-Men cravings until X-Men: Apocalypse opens in 2016.
