Anna Karenina

Trust me, the struggle is real. I've been trying to read this book for FOREVER
I can proudly say that I am on page 220 of this book.
Let me start of first with a short description of this book: This book has 963 pages so imagine how impossible it feels to get to the end. At least it's so big, that when people see me reading it, they think I'm really smart. So that's a plus.
So the book is a classic and it's written by Leo Tolstoy
I tried reading another version of the book before and it had so many large words that I had use a dictionary for almost every paragraph.
Let's start...
I honestly thought the book would only take me about 2 weeks to read. However, it's taking me months. I'm sad to say that every time I try reading this book, I take a long break and then I have to return the book to the library. Each time I take the book out, I tell myself that this is the time that I will finish it. Then nope... I leave it to watch TV.
I think it's mainly because the story seems so drawn out. For instance, I'm on page 220 and I'm still reading about how they are trying to hide their affair from every one.
I'm assuming that if that's what's happening now then further on it's going to get juicer.  So, that thought keeps me going. Plus it's so hard to read a book about a love story for some reason.
I've been on this page for almost a week now. But, I promise I'm not usually like this. Usually, if a book is really good, I can't put it down, but with this one, I keep finding excuses not to read it.
It's actually not that bad too. It's so well written and descriptive, that I can imagine myself in that environment. The problem is ... it takes forever for the story to progress.
Have you tried this book yet? if you have, tell me about your experience. Did you like it? Comment below but don't ruin it for me!
