Angel New Star Fragrance - £86 for 75mlRefill - £53
What can I say about Angel that hasn't already been said? The iconic perfume has been talked about almost everywhere, but with the launch of the new refillable bottle I knew that I had to give this iconic scent a space on the blog. Created in 1992 by Olivier Crisp and Yves de Chiris for avant-garde fashion designer Thierry Mugler, Angel is a subtle and sweet scent that has gone on to inspire such fragrances as Flowerbomb, Coco Mademoiselle and many others - if you're a fan of either of them, this is one to check out.
Notes:
Top: Bergamot and MandarineHeart: Passion Fruit, Peach and ApricotBase: Patchouli, Vanilla, Chocolate and Caramel
I can't lie, Angel isn't a scent that appeals to everyone - it's a love it or hate it scenario - but luckily I fall into the former camp. The perfect balance of warm sweetness and the masculine patchouli creates a lovely balance and something perfect to wear for when you want something a little heavier. It also manages to groundbreakingly marry gourmands and fruitchoulis, which is sheer genius and so unique. On first spray, it can seem a little intense, but wait for it to dry down, I promise you it's worth it.

As mentioned, this was sent to me as part of the launch for the new bottle, and I'd like to just quickly mention how amazing the PR package was, from the engraved bottle with my name on it, to naming a star after me, the whole thing was so well thought out and incredibly executed and I felt like the luckiest girl ever. For fans of the perfume, the stunning new bottle means that you can keep your beloved start forever and top up whenever you have run out, a really lovely idea if you ask me and something that will make this perfume really special (and much more affordable).
Have you ever smelt this perfume, what did you think of it?
