Andrew Kreisberg Suspended By Warner Brothers Television

Warner Brothers Television is suspending Andrew Kreisberg due to allegations of harassment.

As fans of many DC Comics television shows know, Andrew Kreisberg is the executive producer of the hit The CW shows such as Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl

Late Friday night news broke that Warner Brothers Television was launching an internal investigation into the allegations against Kreisberg.  While doing this, Warner Brothers issued the following statement:

“We have recently been made aware of allegations and of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg. We have suspended Mr. Kreisberg and are conducting an internal investigation.  We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”

All of the shows that Kreisberg has worked on are produced by Berlanti Productions and head of Television, Sara Schechter.  Both Berlanti and Schecter have put out a statement as well:

“We were recently made aware of some deeply troubling allegations regarding one of our showrunners. We have been encouraging and fully cooperating with the investigation into this by Warner Bros.  There is nothing more important to us than the safety and well-being of our cast, crew, writers, producers and any staff. We do not tolerate harassment and are committed to doing everything we can to make an environment that’s safe to work in and safe to speak up about if it isn’t.”

It was a total of 19 men and women who came forward to Variety.  Most of these people did it anonymously and are either current or former employees of the shows Kreisberg is currently head of.  They have said that he [Kreisberg] created a toxic environment by having women be evaluated based on their bodies.

These allegations come after comedian Louis C.K. confessed to sexual misconduct and actor Kevin Spacey had been accused of sexual misconduct.  Let’s also not forget the man who started this domino effect in Hollywood, Harvey Weinstein.
