An Abandoned Farm

Last year, when I came back from my trip to France, I heard that there was an abandoned farm about 20 minutes away from where I live.

The land is located on Dugald Road and is very easy to miss. It took me a while to find it.

I have a strange fascination for dilapidated farms, especially the ones in Canada. So, I jumped at the chance to document the effects of time on artificial buildings.

To my surprise, the farmland is full of decomposing cars - another one of my favorite things to photograph. Needless to say that I was in heaven...

...Except for the first 10 minutes. I was met with deep silence. The only interruptions were two or three cries from predator birds hovering above me.

After that first awe-inspiring moment, the photographer in me took over. The rest appears below...
