At first I couldn’t think of anything that I just absolutely must-have for the winter – probably because it has been hanging around 65 degrees here in the North Georgia mountains. Our winters seem to be arriving later and later in the year. . .{you probably remember Atlanta being on the news a couple of years ago for a winter storm that shut us down for a week – snow renders us helpless đŸ˜‰ }
Then, tonight got cool. And I found myself snuggling under my most comfy soft throw, while sitting in front of a warm fire….reading a good book, drinking hot tea and making notes in my new planner. Ah-ha! It was like a light bulb went off above my head – these are my must-haves!
Must-haves for Winter Survival:
A crackling fire and a good Christmas book like A Christmas Carol… then I will, of course, have to watch the movie version. I prefer this version from 1951 and Bill Murray’s Scrooged as well – which one is your favorite?
Cup of hot tea and a cozy, warm, soft throw like this one.

Last but not least, the older I get the more I take care of my skin, especially as the seasons change. Favorite and must-have lotion is Philosophy’s Unconditional Love, smells divine and so moisturizing without feeling greasy. For my face I use Jurlique’s Firming Cream religiously. I love the way it feels and the light refreshing scent of pure botanicals. Finally, for my lips {who knew lips age!} I have two faves – C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Balm from Bath & Body Works and SunBum SPF 30 Lip Balm in Pomegranate – ah, my absolute fave that I use daily all year round!
