Today the whole Corps here in Denver headed out to do restoration work with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado and Coalition for the Upper South Platte in the areas hit by fire this past summer. My unit headed down towards Colorado Springs and then my team was assigned to do sandbagging at a private property. Lucky for us, everyone else arrived back at campus covered in soot from hauling burnt trees, but we were in pretty good condition.
And now a map to show the places I’ve been across this vast state in the last two weeks.
I get to spend my Saturday doing an eight hour ISP (independent service project). Eight hours almost down, only seventy-two to go!
