Verdict on American Dreamer
Recap
The movie follows a down-on-his-luck professor who buys a home with a set of rules. However, he discovers that he might have been tricked and is forced to solve the solution he has found himself in.
Best Parts
The movie lands the comedy as Peter Dinklage shows he can bring a charming comedy to an interesting drama. It shows how people can always dream of a better life, no matter how hard it is to achieve. This goes down an odd direction, that gets a few laughs in the right places.
Worst Parts
This has a bigger point, but gets lost in different places. We get a lot of legally discussion that doesn’t go as far as it could, and then holds up a few too many of the laughs.
Final Thoughts –American Dreamer has some laughs and Dinklage shines.
