Amazon took another step to make its name better known in the gaming world on Monday when it renamed its Twitch Prime subscription service for its Twitch.TV game streaming site. It's now called Prime Gaming, with a built-in Swoosh from Amazon. It is available at spiel.amazon.com.
The new service for Amazon Prime subscribers who pay $ 119 a year will continue to offer players free in-game titles and items, among other things. It has been offered to Amazon Prime subscribers since 2016, according to the e-commerce company Acquired Twitch for $ 1 billion in 2014. Twitch became popular as a way for gamers to be able to share live streams of them playing video games. This allowed viewers to discuss what's happening on the screen and pay over $ 5 subscriptions.
