In late 2011, Matt Webb from BERG ( a design studio in London, UK ) announced an amazing new piece of hardware which would change how you read the aggregated news gathered for you by your smartphone. They announced the small but a very effective way of consuming content offline called The Little Printer‘.

Simply, its a small printer which occupies less space than your traditional printer, scrapes the internet for data like news, puzzles, status updates, check-ins and content which you may like and prints it into a small paper which you can tear and carry with you while your commute. Its like a mini-newspaper in the morning but personalized for the content you want to read and you might like.

Not only it prints data from the internet but you can print in some note, your daily schedule, your meetings or even your to-do list if you wish.

One of the best things of this Little Printer is it uses a thermal ink that means it doesn’t waste ink or expensive. And you can schedule the app to print at a particular time daily as and when you want.

The good news being, people at BergCloud had been working very hard the past few months and finally its now available on pre-order. You can pre-order your little printer now for £199 GBP ($259 USD) plus shipping. They are claiming they would start shipping it in the next 60 days. The first run would be very big and fixed-size ( limited ) to warm up the factories and then a second shipping round would start with unlimited run in the coming weeks later which would of course lead to be a regular production cycle.
