Amazing Bánh Mì In NYC

By Adventuresinamyland

We probably should have been eating at all kinds of quirky places while in New York City, but we definitely hit up the Whole Foods salad bar on more than one occasion. Fortunately, our hostel in SoHo was near Chinatown and Little Italy which means food galore. My favorite place though was a bánh mì shop just a quick jaunt down the block from the hostel.

Mm mm mm. I love some pickled carrots! The owner was super friendly. He cut my sandwhich in half ‘in case you can’t eat it all and want to take it home,’ but left Ryan’s whole. Clearly he didn’t realize that stomach size is not always delineated by gender, especially in this relationship! At $8 for a lunch for two you really can’t go wrong.

Next up, pizza!

If you’re as big a fan of red bell peppers as I am you have to get a pizza from Lombardi’s. They grill the peppers a certain way in their oven and it makes the pizza to die for! I’ve never tasted another red pepper like these.

Happy eating!
