Altaf Hussain Condemned Christian Community Attack

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the attack on the in Joseph Colony, a Christian dominated area, in Lahore on Saturday.

In his statement issued from London, Altaf questioned that where the rulers of Punjab, administration and law enforcement agencies were when the Christian locality was being blitzed and more than hundreds homes were vandalized and why invaders were not stopped.

MQM chief said Islam teaches peace and what happened in Lahore was utterly against the Islamic teachings.

He called on the government to take strong action against the people who are involved in this barbaric incident and bring them into the dock.

He also demanded from government to provide protection to Christians and other minorities of the country.

Jamaat e Islami (JI), Pakistan Sunni Tehreek and other religious and political parties have also condemned the attack.
