A couple of weeks ago, I published an article titled “4 smart ways to promote your content online” that a lot of people liked. Some even asked me if I could share a few more tips.

So, let us continue with the series. This time, I would like to talk about alternatives to blog subscriptions.

Allowing your readers to subscribe to your content directly on your blog is a great thing. However, it is not enough. You need to “meet” your audience where they are most likely to connect with your content.

Here is a list of seven sites / services that you can use as additional options to grow your follower numbers.

  • Use SubToMe to let visitors keep up with your blog within their favorite RSS reader. You just have to copy and paste a line of code to your sidebar or pages. Example:
  • Create a Scoop.it magazine. People can choose to follow the magazine or add its RSS feed to their reader. The platform has also recently integrated with MailChimp, which allows you to send your articles directly to the subscribers of your mailing list. Example of Scoop.it magazine
  •  Make your content pop with a Flipboard magazine. Example
  • Use RebelMouse to display all your articles. Subscribers will receive a daily email if the page has been updated. Example of RebelMouse page
  • Create your Atomic Tribe on Triberr (Prime Membership). Members of the group will automatically spread the word about your content on social networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and / or Google+). Example of Atomic Tribe
  • Share the links to your articles on your LinkedIn Company Page. Your updates will appear in your followers’ news feed. Example of LinkedIn page
  • Finally, why not use Pinterest? Create a board dedicated to your content. Every time you pin something new there, your followers will see it on their home page.

What other services do you use? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
