Albert Hammond, Jr – “Rude Customer”

Of all the Strokes members, Albert Hammond Jr’s debut solo effort was– in my humble opinion, at least– the very best of the bunch. Yours to Keep was released seven years ago, though, and Albert has stayed pretty much mom since that time. However, since publicly revealing his struggles with drug addiction, it seems that Albert Hammond Jr. is ready for a comeback of sorts, and “Rude Customer” seems an auspicious start. A little punkier, and a little grittier than anything Albert has done on his own before, “Rude Customer” is pretty much like the Strokes… only, you know, better.
