April 2015

This A380 approaches touchdown on runway 28L after a long flight from Heathrow.   The A380 is the world’s largest passenger airliner.  Initially named Airbus A3XX, the A380 made its first flight in April 2005 and began commercial service  with British Airways in 2013.  In 2015, British Airways began operating the A380 to/from SFO.  What makes BA’s A380 unique is that all premium seats are at the front of the plane: first class is downstairs in the nose, and business class is both upstairs and downstairs. Economy sections are in the rear half of the plane. Most other airlines with A380s put all business or first class seats upstairs only.  Nikon D7100 w/80-400mm, processing with Aperture.
