Spotted this A380 as we were making our way to our departure runway at Frankfurt Airport, Lufthansa’s primary hub.  Lufthansa is the largest German airline which, when combined with its subsidiaries, is also the largest airline in Europe in terms of passengers carried.  The name of the company is derived from the German word Luft meaning “air” and Hansa for the Hanseatic League.  Lufthansa is the second European airline to operate the Airbus A380 (after Air France).  The first A380 was delivered on May 2010 and is one of the 14 in the fleet.  Fuji X-E2s w/18-135mm.
