While out shopping I found myself under the SFO departure route and caught this Qatar A350 departing overhead. Qatar Airways, founded in 1993 and the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar, operates 19 of these largest A350 variants in their fleet and was the launch customer. First flown in 2013, the A350 is a family of long-range, twin-engine wide-body jet airliners developed by Airbus. The A350 is the first Airbus aircraft with both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer.
