June 2022
A Hawaiian A330 touches down at Kahalui Airport on the island of Maui. Of their current fleet of 61 aircraft, 24 are of this model. This aircraft was the first to wear the updated livery unveiled in 2017, which includes the addition of the lei on the fuselage. Upon delivery, each Hawaiian Airlines A330 is named for a celestial body of particular importance to ancient Polynesian navigators (in this example Hoku-Mau, the Polynesian name for Ursa Minor) used to navigate to the Hawaiian islands.
