AI Parabellum Review: Is It Ultimate AI Tools Directory?

Posted on the 02 November 2023 by Jyoti92 @Jyoti_Chauhan1

AI Parabellum review: Is it the ultimate AI tools directory? That’s for you to judge once you’ve been through this piece.

Throughout this review, I’ll simply walk you through the website, its primary features, functions and flaws. At no point will I ask you to sign up/ pay the company simply because I think it’s good.

If you’re someone who constantly needs new AI websites/tools this review is just for you. If you’re someone who owns any AI tool/app/website, this review is for you too as AI Parabellum does accept submissions.

Let’s not waste time and get started then?

What is AI Parabellum?

“Parabellum” means “prepare for war”. I’d not try to assume the meaning of the word in this context without more facts.

In much simpler terms, it’s a website that lists and lets anyone list AI websites. You want to find any AI tools or apps, AI Parabellum will probably have what you need. Have an AI website you’d like listed? You can submit your AI website here.

Just imagine it to be a centralised hub that has all the AI tools listed.

Do not mistake it for an “AI review website”. It doesn’t “review” tools, at least not yet (as of October, 2023). It lists tools with a very detailed and informative description.

This is what the directory looks like:

I’m sure it looks extremely simple to understand, isn’t it? As we proceed on this AI Parabellum review you’ll see more of its features and its UI.

Easy search filters

As a directory, it of course has hundreds if not thousands of tools. How do you find the tool you’re looking for?

AI Parabellum offers 4 ways/filters using which you can search for what you’re seeking.

For starters, you can click the “browse tools” button at the top. It lists all the categories the website has. Simply find the category your tool fits best, and click on it.

Then, of course you can also use the search-bar at the top if you know the name of the tool you’re seeking.

Finally, you can simply click on one of the category-tabs on the site. It’s the same as “browse tools” but in this case they’re laid out front.

I personally also like its three price filters. Just below the category tabs, you’ll see tabs that say – “Paid” , “Freemium” and “Free”.  This ensures you not just find the tool, but find a tool that’s within your budget even if it’s $0.00.

Trending/Hot/Popular listings

This isn’t exactly a search-filter, but it also is in a way. Let me explain.

On the website, you’ll see various icons/stickers attached to a few listings. The three primary stickers I’ve seen so far are:

“Trending”, “Popular” and “Hot”. Now, if you simply click on any of these, they’ll take you to a page which will have all the listings from that category.

E.g. if you want to see all the “popular” listings, simply click the icon. You’ll instantly be taken to all the listings with the popular tag.

Current Database

Being a AI directory, the available stock clearly matters, won’t you agree? Despite being a relatively new enterprise, the current list of available tools and apps is impressive.

It already has over 100 tools listed and the list seems to grow every single day .So, while it’s not the “Google for AI tools” yet, I’m confident it’ll have whatever it is you need.

Tool descriptions

Once you find a tool you like, you’ll see something like this:

As is evident, it’s just like any other blog. The pricing of the tool is mentioned so you know if it fits your budget, followed by a pretty long description.

There will always be a “Visit site” button at the end of each page.

On the right, you may hae noticed the subscribe button. Entering your email there notifies you whenever new tools are added to the directory.

Oh there’s a rating system as well. No registration/signup/account required. At the bottom of each post, simply click a “thumbs up” button if you liked the post/tool. The more thumbs up it has the better a tool should be (in most cases).

Submit your own AI tools to the directory

So far, we’ve been reviewing it from a “reader’s” perspective. But, what if you’ve got your own tool/company that you’d like listed?

That’s possible (and doesn’t take up a lot of time). Simply click the “Submit AI tool” button you can see at the top-right on the website or follow this link https://aiparabellum.com/submit-your-ai-tool/

Now, it of course isn’t free. There’s a one-time fee of $49.00 (it may go up by the time you read this AI Parabellum review, this fee is true for October, 2023).

I love the “ease” of the process. There’s no long forms to fill, accounts to create or descriptions to write.

All you need is your URL! That’s right. Simply share the URL and their team does the rest.

Of course there are rules. You can not list:

  • Non-AI tools.
  • NSFW tools
  • Other directories or AI newsletters.

Once you’ve paid the $49.00, your listing is permanent. No recurring charges, ever and the listing is never removed.

Not just that, the listing also gets featured on the homepage for a minimum of 24 hours. Currently the number of tools is below 1,000 hence you may actually get a much higher time on the homepage. As tools increase, of course this will be limited to 24 hours only.

Do note that there is an approval process. While almost everything gets approved, there is a slight chance of you getting rejected if your tool doesn’t adhere to the above requirements. Of course, you get a refund (scroll down for details).

Personally, I feel the approval requirement is a good idea. This makes sure only high-quality, legitimate tools get listed. This increases AI Parabellum’s repute and hence the repute of tools listed on the site.

Refund policy

So, does AI Parabellum offer refunds? Fortunately, it does. Of course, there are a few terms and conditions. Let me simply those for you?

You are eligible for a refund (although the final decision rests with the team) if:

  • Technical errors during submission prevented you from submitting your URL.
  • Your tool is rejected due to the company’s editorial policy.
  • Duplicate payments

Although, you do not get a refund once you’ve made a payment and your submission is approved. This is just to save additional transaction costs, time and to protect the company from spammers.

Support

So, how do you reach the AI Parabellum team? You may need to request edits, inquire about something or just have other requirements eh?

The easiest option is their live-chat option. On the bottom-right, you’ll see a messenger button. The only downer here is you’ll need to use Facebook messenger to communicate.

If you don’t use Facebook or just would like some other option, you can reach them over email. In my experience, most replies take less than a few hours.

AI Parabellum review – Final words

Time for my personal opinion then? I think the entire project is extremely helpful and practical, both to AI enthusiasts and startups. AI is certainly taking over the planet, there’s no denying that. Hence, having a single place that gives you all the AI apps sure is practical, isn’t it?

From the developer/owner/startup’s perspective, having their website listed at a hub that’s solely dedicated to AI helps them get more exposure. Doesn’t it? Due to its strict approval process, being listed here itself means your app/website is of some merit.

All in all, I’ll say I do like the core idea behind AI Parabellum. Let’s give it a few months and we’ll see how right this AI Parabellum review was.
