Two suspects who allegedly assisted in the murder by shooting the owner of a tourist restaurant, Pasindu Sandaruwan Dodangodage (31) in Midigama, Ahangama on March 29
were arrested along with heroin in their possession yesterday (07) by the Southern Province Special Operations Unit, sources from the Southern Provincial Senior D.I.G’s Office revealed.
The arrested suspects are a 27-year-old suspect from Ahangama Digaredda and a 31-year-old from Weligama Ibbawala.
A scooter along with 13,100 mgs of heroin were recovered from the possession of the suspects.
The abandoned car used by the alleged killers was located by the Police at Panugala, Dikkumbura in Ahangama.
The suspects were handed over to Weligama Police for further investigations.
