Aging Gracefully: How Architecture Can Make Nursing Homes Obsolete

By Dwell @dwell

When architect Matthias Hollwich turned 40, he was confronted with what it means to age in America today. Rather than quietly accept a slow decline, he decided to think about ways to improve every stage of life. The results are a book, New Aging (Penguin), and Skyler, the conceptual design for a new type of skyscraper.

Learn more about Matthias Hollwich's plan for New Aging at Dwell on Design New York, which runs from May 13–15, 2016.
