The O'Jays formed in 1958 but reached their greatest level of success once Gamble and Huff signed them to their Philadelphia International label in 1972. Numerous other hits followed through the 1970s and into the 1980s and 1990s.
The group were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, and continue to perform and record with original founding members Eddie Levert and Walter Williams always at the core of the group. A politically charged new single 'Above The Law' was released in October 2018.
