Ads Will Appear to You Via ‘Talking Windows’, Very Soon

No matter how far we progress through new technologies, heading for a bright future, there will always be ads and marketers trying to promote something in different ways. The German ad agency BBDO is already looking out to that future with a better way to grab attention by transmitting adverts to be displayed on windows.

They call it “The Talking Window”.  BBDO has been testing out this technology in Germany to send high-frequency vibrations to public transportation vehicles to display ads on the windows to passengers who are leaning their heads against it. According to BBC“The idea would use bone conduction technology, a technique that transmits sound to the inner ear by passing vibrations through the skull.” Sky branded device is being used to send these signals through windows.

This may sound like a breakthrough in advertising concepts but, you know what this means, right? No more sleeping in subway trains. Like most of the YouTubers have commented on the video, this could be really annoying to people who are just trying to rest or shut their eyes for few minutes while they’re on a long trip. However, it would be really great if this technology can be used for something other than advertising, like listening to music or watching movies.
