Actress And VJ Sophiya Haque Died In London

Sophiya Haque, an ex-channel V veejay and actress died in a hospital in London early morning on January 16th. She was 41 years old.

According to the reports, Sophiya was suffering from cancer and was admitted to a hospital in London where she breathed her last in her sleep.

Her agent Oliver Thomson said: “Sophiya was a wonderful actress, a wonderful client, but so much more than that a wonderful friend. She was adored by everyone she worked with and will be deeply missed.”

The anchor was one of the first veejay’s, who rose to fame in India in 199os with Channel V’s Show Sophiya’s Choice. She acted in films like Snip, Sandhya, Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terrors, Bombay Dreams. She also did BBC’s Fairy Tales series with Denise Van Outen.
