Actor Seth Rogen Said “F*ck You” to Dr. Ben Carson Over Gun Control. Americans Say “F-you” Back to Rogen’s New Movie

John Nolte reports for Breitbart.com, Oct. 24, 2015, that two weeks ago, just as the movie Steve Jobs’ public relations campaign was gearing up for its national release (and Oscar grab), one of the film’s stars, Seth Rogen, fired off a hate-tweet, “Fuck you @realBenCarson.”

Rogen claimed he was angry at Republican presidential candidate Dr. Carson for suggesting German Jews would have been able to better resist the Nazis had the government not confiscated their firearms in advance of the Holocaust.

The backlash against Rogen and Steve Jobs was immediate and intense. Many people used their social media accounts to call for a boycott of the film.

But, instead of apologizing, Rogen doubled down.

Well, Americans who honor the Constitution’s Second Amendment let Rogen know what they think of him.

Steve Jobs the movie bombed. Although director Danny Boyle’s biopic sits in nearly 2500 theaters and was predicted to clear around $12 million, according to Deadline, by tomorrow (Monday) the $30 million film (closer to $60 million with distribution costs) will bottom out at $7 million.

Steve Jobs wasn’t supposed to bomb. The movie boasts an Oscar-winning director, an Oscar-winning screenwriter, and a biopic subject who was the founder of Apple computers.

Just five years ago, The Social Network, a similar film about a similar subject written by the same Aaron Sorkin, had opened to $22.4 million.

But Seth Rogen, the guy who was supposed to provide some box office insurance for Steve Jobs, launched a profanity-laced attack against Dr. Ben Carson, an attack many saw as race-based against the black Republican presidential candidate.

After Emily Blunt’s Sicario tanking in the box office, Steve Jobs is now the second film this month to under-perform after one of its left-wing stars hurled partisan insults.

Actress Emily Blunt said that watching the Republican presidential debate made her question her decision to become a U.S. citizen. After a week, her movie, Sicario, with a $30 million production budget, made only $580,594 (domestic).

Blunt said her decision to apply for U.S. citizenship was “mainly for tax reasons.” She intends to hold on to her UK nationality because she doesn’t want “to renounce my queen.”
