Acer has announced on Wednesday at Barcelona MWC 2013 that it will be launching its latest mid-range smartphone dubbed as the Acer Liquid Z2. The device is powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. The display is a multitouch 3.5-inch HVGA screen offering a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.
Apart from that, the Liquid Z2 is also equipped qith 4GB of internal storage, external memory can be expanded though a microSD card and there is also a version with a dual-SIM card slot. The battery is a modest 1,300mAh and on top of that is the camera which is unique on the Liquid Z2 – it has a dual camera, a 3MP and a 5MP image sensors. According to Acer, “The versatile 3MP or 5MP camera launches in just 1 second, offers panoramic and multi-angle modes, plus continuous shooting (up to 99 shots) to capture precious moments.”
The Liquid Z2 is expected to be retailed at US134 to US$175 (RM415-RM543). With this price you can get additional features such as 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, FM Radio and SRS sound enhancement. The device measures at 110 x 62.5 x 12.25mm and weighs at 110g.
The Liquid Z2 will first debut in France, Belgium, Ukraine, Netherlands and will be followed by Russia, U.K and Italy. There is no news about when the device will be available in Asia or Malaysia specifically.
