Chromebooks are getting cheaper everyday and Acer seems to be contributing a lot to make that happen. The company’s latest C720 Chromebook is one of the cheapest on the Google’s official Chromebook listing with a $199 price tag.
The Acer C720 packs an 11.6-inch display with 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM, a VGA camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and promises up to 8.5 hours of run time with a 7-second startup speed. The device also has a 16GB SSD with 100 GB Google Drive storage for 2 years. For an affordable $199 device, these are fairly impressive specs.

Acer’s new low-cost Chromebook came shortly after Google pulling off the HP’s new HP Chromebook 11, which said to have some heating issues with its’ charger, according to BBC. Thanks to that mishap, Acer will have a better chance scoring more Chromebook consumers with C720.
