Your patience has paid off: it's time for part two of my answers to your questions!
Arvee and Amy asked:
Amy and Abi asked:
Kind of music: I guess you'd say indie in general...? Is that considered a genre anymore, or is that like saying "I like music by people from Illinoise"?
Band: Well, he's not a full band, but I say Andrew Bird.
Song: That's hard. I really love "'39" by Queen. I have to listen to it start to finish every time it comes on my iPod.
Movie: The Secret Garden. It's such a beautiful movie, and one of my favorite things to do before I had babies was to curl up on the couch after work and watch it while I waited for Peter to get home.
Amy asked:
I haven't spent as much time there as I'd like, but Annapolis, MD is the most beautiful yet laid-back place I've ever been to. Our Maryland church is in Annapolis, and often on sunday afternoons, I think "It would be so nice right now to take a walk in downtown Annapolis and have a picnic on the yard at St. John's"
Cortnie asked:
Favorite thing to do: Go to a baseball game!! It's my absolute favorite kind of date to go on with my husband.
Musical instruments: I used to play the piano, but haven't had one since moving away from home. I'd really like to pick it back up someday though!

Melissa asked:
Hmm... that's hard, because Peter says funny stuff all the time, and I have a bad memory. I'm sure it was within some impromptu song he made up for the kids though. That's his specialty.
I'd love to have N.D. Wilson and his family over for dinner. That would be some of the most engaging, memorable discussion ever (is it weird that I don't really care about having dinner with any Hollywood types? They'd probably have so many food issues that they wouldn't eat anything I made anyway...)
And for the shopping spree: an art supply store, so I could replace all my dried-out my water color paints. Or an up-scale bakery, so I could order a ridiculously elaborate cake to serve after dinner one night. I'd probably do it on a night that we had a very last minute-type dinner too, like boxed mac and cheese. BAM. Giant cake.
Well friends, you've done it. You've sat through all my sometimes boring, often riveting, always color-coordinating answers to your fine questions! Thanks for humoring an old woman :)
As always, if there are any other questions keeping you up at night (such as "are you an Oxford comma girl?" or "What's your favorite episode of the Commish?"), feel free to email me at:
