Thoughts on The Fury

ThoughtsThe Fury is a horror sci-fi film that will blend the ideas of psychic abilities with the action involved in trying to locate a missing child. This is a story that is filled with conspiracies, showing how governments can operate in secret, trying to put people through a living hell, one where they can’t do anything to escape. This story will keep us guessing, while using the technology at the time to understand psychic abilities, or communicate in secret, something that wouldn’t happen in this modern world. The performances in the film are great with Kirk Douglas being the determined and broken man desperately wanting his son back, Amy Irving struggling to adapt to her new abilities after seeing what can happen around her. The bigger picture does feel like it dives into the panic within America about mind control within the government, which is something we would have seen at the time of release. This is a smart and clever idea that will leave you questioning who could be trusted in life.

Final Thoughts The Fury is a disturbing thriller, showing the dangers of psychic abilities.
