Thoughts on Vanquish
Thoughts – Vanquish is an action thriller follow the reluctantly former criminal getting thrown back into the world to protect their family. It will continue a series of pick up missions that will become increasingly difficult through the night, with each one giving Victoria a different obstacle from her past to overcome. Vanquish might well be completely by the book for how things are played out, it doesn’t seem to have the spark to make it one of the best out there. The action scenes do seem to be similar each time around, some quick shooting and motorcycle chase on repeat. Ruby Rose does well in the action side of things, with Morgan Freeman handling the dialog in his always calm voice. This is an easy to watch film that could do with a few extra sparks to make it one of the strongest of recent years.
Final Thoughts – Vanquish lacks the sparks to be one of the best, falling into the by the books range of actions films.
