When I look back on my 2014 in Cornwall, what I see is colour. Poppy reds, heathery purples, bumblebee rusty oranges and sea-green waters…
Here are some photos to illustrate my point.
The glorious Poppy fields at West Pentire
Ling, Bell-heather and Gorse in waves of color across Gwennap Head
Bluebells in Crowhill Valley Woods
Carpets of Round-leaved Sundew at Newlyn Downs
Large Whites heading for the Verbena against an astoundingly blue sky (no editing – it was really that blue!)
Green-blue shallow seas round Looe Island
And okay, this one’s not from Cornwall, but I had to include my favorite Kenyan bird from my trip there in January – the Lilac-breasted Roller.
What colours come to your minds when looking back over 2014?
