It's a partial reunion of the cast and crew of the hit indie 2013 feature ALTERED MINDS, as the first installment of anthology feature film A WOOD'S TALE prepares to shoot in early November.
The larger feature film of A WOOD'S TALE will be composed of several short subjects on the same theme, with interlocking story elements taking place in a somewhat magical stretch of woods.
ALTERED MINDS alums on the project include writer-director-producer Michael Z. Wechsler, executive producer Shawn Singh, producer Terry Keefe (the 2022 Willa Fitzgerald-starrer 18 1/2), and co-star C.S. Lee ("Dexter," "East New York"), in addition to producer Lynn Kressel, who is also an Emmy-winning casting director and served as casting director on SPIDER-MAN (2002). ALTERED MINDS starred multi-Academy Award nominee Judd Hirsch, Academy Award winner Jaime Ray Newman, CS Lee, Ryan O'Nan, and Caroline Lagerfelt. The feature was written, directed, and produced by Wechsler, and was theatrically released via Gravitas Ventures.
A WOOD'S TALE will also be adapted into a graphic novel written by Wechsler, and edited by Keefe, who co-created the comic book series SUPERNOVAS and TESLA.
