More and more people are concerned about rising energy prices. How to meet your energy needs without paying too much? This is the question on everyone’s lips. Testimonials continue to flow on the Internet. Among them, in Spain, a woman made a startling revelation. His tip to save 150 euros on the monthly bill quickly went viral. Why not take inspiration from it?
Need a tip to reduce bills?
Due to the energy crisis, several governments have started adopting measures to save energy, limit the price of natural gas and stimulate the use of renewable energies. For their part, citizens are also looking for all sorts of formulas to reduce electricity bills. Take the case of the shower, for example, which is part of an imperative hygiene ritual in every home. In winter, no one ventures to take a cold shower. However, the higher the temperature, the higher the energy consumption.
To circumvent this problem, a woman found a clever alternative. It is within the Spanish television program “Espejo Público” that Ms. Pilar explains that she has managed to save between 100 and 150 euros per month on her electricity bill. The woman details a number of precautions taken on a daily basis: she notably unplugs electrical appliances when she leaves the house, cooks with the ceramic hob once a week, uses energy-saving light bulbs and makes her own detergent. But, among all his tricks to spend less energy and save money, there is one that particularly caught the attention of viewers.

“Two showers a week are enough”
In the Spanish national channel, the woman confesses that she only showered twice a week. “It’s also not good to take a shower every day. Two showers a week are enough“, she insists. Pilar explained. She also admits that the fact of no longer having children under her roof has also allowed her to save some money. “Before, I showered two or three times a day,” she said.
Certainly, relaxing in the shower after a long day at work is probably one of the most enjoyable things. Daily baths are not bad in themselves, as long as they are short, because excess water can dry out the skin over time. Not to mention that it also drains a lot of energy and your bills will only go up in flames, especially if you use the heating in the house on top of that. Therefore, for all these reasons, it would actually be wiser to limit yourself to two or three showers per week.

In addition, it is also advisable to reduce the use of shower products that can cause skin irritation, as they tend to degrade the lipid layer that protects us. Finally, water itself at very high temperatures can become harmful to the body. Indeed, too hot water makes the skin dry and unbalances the composition of the epidermis. Its action is harmful since it limits the role of fatty proteins and natural oils that protect the skin against external aggressions. To avoid weakening your skin or making it too vulnerable, it is generally recommended to use lukewarm water, between 30 and 37°C. It is especially important to prevent the water in the shower or bath from exceeding 37°C. Similar to that of the human body, this water temperature is not only healthier for blood circulation, but it also saves money on the bill at the end of the month.
