A War Between Two Dogs

It's not often but once in a great while Dad will pull out the tug toy for us to play with for a short time.
I'm not a big fan of playing tug-of-war but Maggie and Bruin love it!
Tug-of-war tends to get a bad rap. If you play it correctly, have disciplined dogs that obey basic commands and play well together without getting too intense it can be a fun game both physically and mentally for your dog.
Maggie and Bruin make a perfect pair...

Here I am trying to ignore them...

I'd much rather give my nose a workout and sniff around for Mr. Chippy...

Tug-of-war is great for excessive chewers, it gives the chompers a nice workout. Better a tug toy than a piece of furniture or pair of shoes!

Although it can't be compared to running and walking in the the exercise department, tugging exerts a good amount of energy out of these two chumps, which is a nice alternative to roughhousing inside.
